Van Gogh Gallery

Vincent Willem van Gogh was born March 30, 1853 in Zundert, Netherlands.  Van Gogh began drawing as a child.  However,he did not begin painting until he was in his late twenties and some of his best works were created in the last two years of his life.  Van Gogh was a Post Impressionist artist.  His work is world renowned and his paintings remain to be some of the most expensive art pieces in the world.   Van Gogh painted self portraits, landscapes, still lifes, portraits and paintings of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers.  Here are some of those famous works of art.
