April is National Humor Month, so it's time to LOL* as we discover the funniest jokes on the Internet. And lest you feel like you're wasting your time, remember, according to many studies, laughter is good for you. What better way to celebrate World Health Day (April 7) than by giving yourself the gift of healing laughter!
Animal jokes are a perennial favorite, and at #1 All Kids Humor there is no shortage of animal categories to choose from. Need a reptile joke for a school project? You'll find six pages of them at # 1 All Kids, along with three pages of worm jokes, fourteen pages of elephant jokes, four pages of chicken humor and more! In addition to the animal jokes, there are five other main categories, many of which are further divided into additional topics.
Jokes usually don't need instructions (listen, and then laugh or groan as appropriate) but the Az Kids Net Jokes are interactive and require your participation by clicking or hovering your mouse. Each joke section of Az Kids Net is formatted a little differently, so you'll need to read the directions. For example, the Knock Knock jokes require you to mouse over (but not click) on "Who's there?" and then again on "Answer," while Silly States needs a mouse click on the "Answer" button. All this clicking and mousing adds up to great fun, so don't miss it.
OWLKids of Canada serves up riddles, knock-knock jokes and moaners in a fun format that doesn't ruin the punch line. "Why is an egg like a promise?" To find out you'll need to click on the "???" button. After the jokes, explore the rest of the site, which features puzzles and articles from the publishers of three children's magazines: Chirp (for three to six year olds,) ChickaDEE (for kids six to nine,) and OWL (for nine and up).
Although Scatty.com hasn't added a new joke since November, their collection tops 12,175 jokes in more than a dozen categories. Some topics are tried-and-true favorites such as Riddles and Knock Knock Jokes, while others are novel categories such as Internet Jokes, Boy Jokes and Girl Jokes. All joked out? Scatty.com also has a Games page.
"Welcome to Smirk City. The current population is 10,054 jokes." That's a lot of jokes! The kid-submitted jokes are categorized into wacky neighborhoods such as Yuk Street and Groansboro. While touring the town, be sure to vote for your favorite joke, and don't forget to submit a joke or two of your own. The very best feature at Smirk City, though, is the ability to email any joke to a friend. The resulting email actually includes the joke, not just a link to the Smirk City site. *Laugh Out Loud
