Cut and paste the URL into your browser location field, and then remove directories (after each "/" in the URL) one by one, until you arrive at the home index page.
If the top level domain still exists (and it is not an Internet Service Provider or one of the free Web site providers), visit there to search for the missing page.
Use a search engine to find the site by its title
Email the Webmaster of the site to ask if the pages still exist somewhere else.
If the top-level domain is unavailable, try looking it up in CheckDomain to see if it still exists.
