Dear Barbara,
Happy New Year! We've had a whirlwind winter break so far, and I've not quite settled into work yet. Hope yours was wonderful too.
Today's collection of web picks is all about clean, funny jokes designed to get you LOL* or better yet ROTFL.** Laugher is good medicine for all ages. Enjoy!
#1 All Kids Humor http://kidhumor.glowport.com/
Animal jokes are a perennial favorite, and at #1 All Kids Humor there is no shortage of animal categories to choose from. Need a reptile joke for a school project? You'll find six pages of them at # 1 All Kids, along with three pages of worm jokes, fourteen pages of elephant jokes, four pages of chicken humor and more! In addition to the animal jokes, there are five other main categories, many of which are further divided into additional topics.
AzKidsNet: Knock Knock Jokes http://www.azkidsnet.com/JSknockjoke.htm
As good comedians know, how a joke is presented is just as important as the joke itself. I like the presentation at AzKidsNet because the punchline is hidden until you make it appear. On the Knock Knock Jokes pages, simply hover over "Who's There?" to see the question, and then move over to "Answer" to see the punchline. The other joke pages, such as Elephant Jokes, Riddles and Brainteasers, use a variety of different (but easy to use) click and hover techniques to keep the answers hidden until you are ready for them.
OWL: The Last Laugh http://www.owlkids.com/owl/laugh.html
OWLKids of Canada serves up riddles, knock-knock jokes and moaners in a fun format that doesn't ruin the punchline. "Why is an egg like a promise?" To find out click on the Next Joke button. After the jokes, explore the rest of the site, which features puzzles and articles from the publishers of three children's magazines: Chirp (for three to six year olds), ChickaDEE (for kids six to nine) and OWL (for nine and up).
*LOL - chat acronym for "laughing out loud"
**ROTFL - chat acronym for "rolling on the floor laughing"
Dear Ms Barbara,
I would like to say THANK YOU for your great service. The site really has enriched me a lot. The information you have provided really great, and I always look forward to reading them next year. Happy New Year, and keep on this great site.
