The excitement of seeing your stories posted on the Internet can not be matched! Many families and young people are creating their own home pages -- a collection of photos, pictures, stories and pointers to favorite family Web sites. But you don't need to create an entire home page to be published on the Internet. You can submit your children's work to many existing sites. I recommend these sites which accept stories from kids who yearn to be published. [Editor's Note: An updated version of this topic can be found here: Become a Published Author]

"Kids' Space", available in either English or Japanese, has four arenas for publishing kid's works. My favorites are "Story Book" and "Bean Stalk". "Story Book" accepts both original stories and stories based on their monthly material. My son enjoyed creating a pictograph story, where each special word is replaced by a colorful picture. "Bean Stalk" is fun because you can illustrate someone else's story, or be the author of a story for someone else's picture.
