This Java programmer has built the most amazing LEGO sculptures I’ve seen outside of Legoland. Be sure to check out his six-foot-tall working grandfather clock built ENTIRELY from little Lego bricks.

PIANO lessons… LISTEN to this!

April 18, 2000 -- From David Sprunger, a reader from Medford, OR who is affiliated with the site

Learn to play PIANO quickly using the revolutionary technique of “Rhythmic Patterns”. The premise is that a student can learn to play almost any popular song by ear simply by learning to mix and match accompaniment patterns, much like acoustic guitar players do. Check it out – a very unique approach. (Note our letters from customers. I have been amazed at the joy my students have expressed at finding this course.) Thanks! David Sprunger (author)

Kurzweil Cyber Art

April 11, 2000 -- From a reader from New Orleans, LA who is affiliated with the site

Here’s another one for National Poetry Month: Kurzweil Cyber Art. The site has a free download for Windows that contains a random poetry generator screensaver. You can also get Ray Kurzweil’s Cybernetic Poet (RKCP), which can learn the styles of poets like Keats, Blake, Dickinson & Shakespeare, among others, and suggest turns of phrase in the style of those poets! It’s a great and fun way to learn about poetry!

This is an excellent site for children and also adults. It is filled with fabulous pictures and videos. It tells all about Hawai’i's coral reefs and the organisms and creatures that live there. It stresses that coral reefs must be protected. Its information is accurate as far as I can tell.It also has a few interactive games, a story that can be added to, and a discussion board.

Let’s get Mom out of those sweats and in something nice for Mother’s Day. Hmmm… unless, of course, that’s what she feels like wearing. Grade Level: Pre K-2nd Javascript for 4.0+ browsers.
