Vectorkids provides interactive math tools that allow children to have fun while they learn. Scoreboards help the students gage progress while practicing math flashcards. A teacher providing feedback to vectorkids stated that interactive websites such as this will make a concept “click” for many students. Timed flashcards help students prepare for standard curriculum in the classroom. The site also has an interactive multiplication table and a US State Capitals game. The site features quality learning tools over quantity. Positive feedback from students and teaching staff allows me the opportunity to rate vectorkids high.

Air Defenders: The Quest for Clean Air

May 4, 2004 -- From Lindsay Haas, Air Educator, a reader from Madison, WI, who is affiliated with the site

Log onto www.airdefenders.org to learn about open burning, air quality and respiratory health. Kids meet characters Seeker, Identifyer, and Recyclotron while they learn fun facts, play games, and listen to music. Make sure to check out the Teacher Pages filled with resources and web links for parents and educators! Kids learn through activities in science, health education, and music. These lessons develop critical thinking with a focus on finding solutions for home and farm waste disposal, exploring the physics and chemistry of waste incineration and open burning, and on the related issues of air quality and human respiratory health.

I set up the Picasso ebook in 2001 to celebrate Picasso’s 120th birthday in that year. It is still going strong at www.zyarts.com/ebook and still welcomes contributions on the theme ‘The Face’. Sincerely, Gandha Key ebook curator, London UK
