As a lover of books and reading, it pains me to see children spending more time with electronic devices in their laps playing games than reading. This gave me the ambitious idea to promote reading in the digital world with a fun, unique, interactive format. My goal is to bring back a treasured time for parents and children, teachers and students, reading and exploring together.
Welcome to the first continuous, online, interactive, adventure storyblog! I invite you to join the Mt Jibbaroo Jr. explorers on the adventure of a lifetime. Travel to Papua New Guinea with Zoologist Dr. Zilpha ZaBallsnooden, a fun loving, quirky, adventurer, on an exciting expedition that takes us into the heart of the extinct volcano Mt Jibbaroo. Explore a never before seen pristine rainforest with an ecosystem all its own. Discover adorable, endearing new wild life that has evolved in its own unique way, isolated from the outside world since the volcano last erupted more than 2 million years ago.
This site is super fun for preschoolers learning how to read! It has stories, games, and even finger play videos. My son was engaged with the site for over an hour. Best of all, there is no advertising. The site was created by Reading is Fundamental. Five stars all the way!

It contains common sense tips on motivation, child development, discipline and more. Our overly complex world often has to be boiled down to some simple truths, and young parents need the most help.
