Jefferson in Paris

For anyone interested in the years (1784-1789) that Jefferson and his daughter Martha (Patsy) spent in Paris, this site gives information on fashions, lifestyles, sightseeing, and architecture. It includes a lot about Jefferson’s daughter who arrived in Paris at the age of twelve. This site is good for preteens, teens and adults.

The Monticello Classroom

Monticello has launched a special section on its award-winning Web site to inspire both students and teachers while they explore the world of Thomas Jefferson.

The new Monticello Classroom, accessible at, was designed to meet the needs and preferences of students and teachers in grades 3 through 8.

Among the features offered by the Monticello Classroom are a collection of brief, grade-appropriate reports and suggested classroom activities on topics related to Jefferson and Monticello.
