The Ballet Dancer's Guide

September 2, 2009 -- From PetetheSculpt, a parent, from Bath, England, who is not affiliated with the site.

I was looking for information for my daughter who is in the process of auditioning for national ballet schools. I came across this site which tells lots of inside secrets about how to think like a top dancer. I was hooked and so was my daughter - I hope it will help her. The publisher has obviously been successful in the classical ballet world - but will not reveal her true identity. Fascinating!

This Month in Dance/Ballet History

July 6, 1999 -- From a reader from Denver, Colorado, USA who is affiliated with the site

This Month in Dance History is a wonderful way for those who love dance and ballet to explore their dance heritage on a month-to-month basis. The listings cover many traditions in dance as well as many related disciplines from the dancers themselves to ballet choreographers, designers, composers, and even critics.

USA International Ballet Competition

July 6, 1999 -- From a reader from Denver, Colorado, USA who is affiliated with the site

The USA-International Ballet Competition, held in Jackson Mississippi every 4 years, is perhaps the largest dance event in the world. This website profiles the work of hundreds of dancers from around 30 countries and includes some stunning dance photography.

ballet.co

June 13, 1999 -- From a reader Hornchurch, Essex, England who is not affiliated with the site

Beautifully minimalist and sophisticated ballet site, plenty of information on the ballet scene, with a focus on the UK. Images are used sparingly and although small to keep the site fast are nonetheless of high quality. The site has a strong branding which runs throughout and shows strong commitment.
