Simon the Hippo and the animal gang from Hippoworks.com star in a new edutainment program to teach kids about global warming and the actions they can take to help stop it. The program educates through a music video, cartoonlets, a house tour, a memory game, coloring pages, a lesson plan for teachers and other printable materials. It also features a carbon calculator to figure a global footprint and promotes activism with Hippoworks's non-profit partners, Stopglobalwarming.org and the Conservation Fund.

This is a large site that is easy to navigate and full of information about a non-profit co-ed youth organization for 6-18 year olds. The organization focuses on Forestry, Ecology, Outdoor Skills and Leadership. It is family-friendly and has some excellent links.

EcoKids is Earth Day Canada's environmental education program for youth who care about the planet. The newly re-designed EcoKids Online is a bright, colourful kids site featuring lots of environmentally-themed games, printables and interactive activities. The site also has a parents & teachers section.

Miss Maggie's Earth Adventures was created to teach children about environmental issues. Every eight weeks, Maggie and her dog, Dude, are sent on missions to investigate problems all over the world. Each module is also packed with experiments, recipes, games and very comprehensive teachers' resources. The site recently won top prize in the "Story" category of the Flash Film Festival in London.
