Factmonster is a fantastic site in which kids can learn great facts about anything. This site also provides games and quizzes. It is a great site to learn from and you can have fun at the same time.

this is a very nice site, it's an online dictionary and encyclopedia. The encyclopedia is huge and great, my students use it for their research.
