BabagaNewz

December 5, 2007 -- From Michael, a reader, from Rochester, NY, who is affiliated with the site.

Great place for Jewish kids on the web. Check out the Hannukah stuff.

CNN Student News

April 11, 2007 -- From Crystal, a teacher, from Kansas City, Kansas, who is not affiliated with the site.

I use this in my classroom everyday. There is a different broadcast available each day. It is only about 10 minutes long (so it doesn't take too much time away from set instruction time) with interesting stories pertaining to national as well as international events. This site is most appropriate for grades 5th through 10th. My class always gets a good discussion going after viewing these segments, and the kids really seem to enjoy it. It's nice to have a "television" broadcast of a news program that is targeted towards kids.

Nyasa Times - First for breaking news

January 4, 2007 -- From Alison Marusha, a parent, from Malawi, who is affiliated with the site.

Malawi's premier newspaper for breaking news, business, jobs, social networking.

The cyber-sibling of TIME for Kids magazine. Daily news written for kids, as well as games, activities, features, and more.

The Why Files

May 5, 2006 -- From S.V.M., a reader from Madison, WI, who is affiliated with the site

The Why Files reports on the science behind the news with a new feature or short story every week, covering the science behind a current news story such as Mad Cow disease, population, climate changes and more.

Kids Online Magazine

December 5, 2001 -- From Shana Brumlow, a parent from Texas City, Texas who is affiliated with the site

An online magazine where kids write the stories. Read stories by other kids and send in your own. You can also put your artwork on the online refrigerator and participate in fun contests.
