March 2, 2007 -- From Josie, a reader, from Yorkshire, England, who is affiliated with the site.
The website was born one year ago. With 14,500 visitors and growing from 50 to more than 200 new rhyming poems, with voice recordings and illustrations, it is popular with teachers, parents and children across the world. It is a developing website with all original poems, the work of Yorkshire writer, Josie Whitehead and freely available. Lots of fun story poems and all written with perfect rhyme and rhythm, which children love.

Many great poetry forums for kids.
June 26, 2006 -- From Blair, a parent, from Scotland, who is not affiliated with the site.
A nice site which has the usual collection of the "classic poets". However, this page also contains poetry for children or by young authors from many poets I hadn't heard of. Some real funny classics - "when daddy fell into the pond" and "The ant exporer".
May 5, 2006 -- From Brad Burg, a reader from Morristown, NJ, who is affiliated with the site
Hi! I built this site around my book of graphic poetry for children, ‘Outside the Lines: Poetry At Play' (Penguin). The site explains to kids a bit about what graphic poetry is – and why that may be a better name than concrete poetry. It also has motion poems (a step beyond graphic), puzzle poems, and some songs.

This site has a bunch of poetry that anyone of any age can read and enjoy. The poems featured on this site were all created by me, a fourteen- year old kid who loves poetry.

This site is full of really funny poetry for children. You'll want to keep going back for more! Children can submit their own poems too.
May 29, 2002 -- From Joy, 14 years old from Youngstown, Ohio, who is affiliated with the site
This site for all ages offers many free poetry contests. But you don't have to enter a contest to have your poetry posted on their site for free! This is my all-time favorite poetry site, and I urge you to check it out!
April 10, 2002 -- From Phyllis, a reader from Boston, Massachusetts, who is affiliated with the site
Glossary of poetry terms, biographies of notable poets, poetry for the seasons, poetry awards, and more.

With this site you can send greeting cards. There is a poem competition also.

Here's another one for National Poetry Month: Kurzweil Cyber Art. The site has a free download for Windows that contains a random poetry generator screensaver. You can also get Ray Kurzweil's Cybernetic Poet (RKCP), which can learn the styles of poets like Keats, Blake, Dickinson & Shakespeare, among others, and suggest turns of phrase in the style of those poets! It's a great and fun way to learn about poetry!
