A website devoted to the topic of Family and Friendship. Topics such as true friendship, feelings of affection, loneliness and anger towards family and friends are expressed through poetry. Original poetry can be submitted and if approved published.

Writers-Network.com is 100% free and welcomes writers of all ages. We provide a fun place for writers to publish their poems and stories, chat in our forums, enter free writing contests and get honest feedback on their work from other writers within the community. Each free membership includes a personal web site with a homepage, author's biography, news page, private messaging and unlimited poem/story pages. Members can also choose whether to accept feedback on their work or not as well as keep in contact with readers who join their personal fan club. Its a wonderful community of talented writers that is growing bigger every day. We welcome people from all backgrounds and skill level to share in our common goal of improving as writers.

Another great Web site that has a contest for young poets in grades 4-12 in which they give out over $40,000 in prizes and over $13,000 in grants to schools to help with their language arts. There are no fees to enter and no required purchase. In fact, unlike other contests my kids have entered, the sponsoring organization is a member of the Better Business Bureau.
