Barbara J. Feldman

Hanging upon refrigerator doors everywhere, along with party invitations and family snapshots, is the best of our children’s artwork. As the Web has become a global exhibition space for kids’ art, the refrigerator door metaphor has become common. If you would like to see your child’s art “hanging” on the Web, here are some sites that accept submissions.

In addition to the display of artwork from kids ages five to twelve, visitors will delight at the @rt Sparkers (fifteen ideas to jumpstart your creativity,) @rtrageous Thinking (practice artistic thinking ) and @rtifacts (about famous and not-so-famous artists.) Global Children's Art Gallery hopes to "increase understanding between people in different cultures" and displays the artist's country flag alongside each thumbnail. Artists up to age twelve can submit one image per month, via email or snail mail. Include postage stamps if you'd like your original work returned. To support the gallery, 8.5" x 11" prints can be ordered. Unfortunately there is no artist search; the gallery is paginated in chronological order.
