Because NASA has contributed so many gigabytes of material to the WWW, space travel is one of the best covered subjects on the Web. Photos, video and audio are a terrific way to bring the space program home. For would-be space travelers (and their parents) I recommend these nine sites, as we look to the skies for ASTRONOMY AND SPACE TRAVEL.

This multimedia guide to the stars and galaxies is excerpted from their CDROM. The pictures are wonderful, but the explanations are very brief. On the home page are two small files to test your audio and video players. Try them first.
Although it doesn't have much pizazz, this site is fun because it is a perfect starting point for "What do you want to be when you grow up?". The first requirement for an aspiring NASA astronaut is to be an American citizen. The article covers educational requirements (a Ph.D. is recommended), preferred work experience, and even pay and benefit packages!
