To convert measurements from one unit to another, there are many sites with interactive conversion calculators. My favorites are: Yahooligans! Weights and Measures, Convert Me, and Online Conversion.

Online Translation

Online language translation sites are handy for translating Web pages or short articles, but keep in mind that many idioms do not translate well and their results are probably not up to your foreign language teacher’s standards. Two to try are Google Language Tools and Babelfish AltaVista.

Email Replies

To search for the exact wording or author of a quotation, you can use a general search engine, but these specialized quotation sites are often more reliable: BrainyQuote, Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations and The Quotations Page.
