As adults, giving gifts at Christmas time is slightly more complicated than when a child wished to give a Christmas gift. Let’s be honest we all want to give gifts that are impressive, appreciated and thoughtful, but very few of us have the kind of money that it takes to mail gifts let alone to make or buy one for everyone on our Christmas list. Fortunately there are several easy crafts that adults can print right off of their computer that are suitable for gift recipients of all ages. Some of these crafts are even so fun that you will want to keep the ideas for yourself and use these crafts to enhance your own family’s Christmas experiences.

Santa Correspondence

It is a write of passage to be able to write on behalf of Santa Clause after your children have worked so hard to give him cookies on Christmas Eve. But some adults have a harder time addressing how to disguise their handwriting enough to convince their children that is was in fact Jolly Old St. Nick that wrote them a thank you letter and not just dad’s left-handed squiggle writing. So as your kids get older and begin to be better able to decipher hand-written messages, it is a good time to turn to the internet for a little help. Adults can visit a number of sites that have beautifully written notes from Santa already formatted. Many of these letters are templates, meaning that you can simply enter in your children’s names to make the message completely personalized. Simply printing out these messages gives a special touch to the letters that your kids love to get on Christmas morning from their favorite man in red.

Holiday Planner

With all of the school activities, company parties and neighborhood get-togethers that happen around Christmas time, it can be easy to forget things. That is why simply searching for and printing out a holiday planner is a great way to start the holiday season off with organization.

These generic planners that can be found or even made using a calendar template can be personalized or can provide you with checklists of some of the most common things to remember to do this holiday season. Search online to find a holiday planning guide that has the space and information that fits your needs.

Thank You Notes

With all of the gift giving that happens around Christmas time, you will want to be sure to have thank you cards on hand to give to friends, family, relatives and, of course, Santa. Writing these thank you cards and then simply printing them off of your computer makes it easy to have several copies on hand so that no one’s generosity is left un-acknowledged. While the letter or note that you type may be generic, you can personalize it by printing it out on patterned paper and having each member of your family sign each letter that is given.

Advent Calendar

Advent calendars are simple to make yet lend themselves to allowing for a great deal of creativity and opportunities to involve the whole family in the creation of this craft. An advent calendar can be as simple as finding a template and printing one off online. These simple calendars may have suggestions for activities or events, or they may be informative, offering a nugget of wisdom for every day of the month. Advent calendars can become a more involved craft when you incorporate the calendar that you have printed off of your computer with some treats that you purchase that relate to the event that will be occurring on each day of the month. Some of these calendars even have pull tabs or spaces where you can break a seal to find the treat.
