There is no better time of the year to make your house feel like a home, than during the Christmas season. Country themes and styles easily compliment just about any Christmas decoration. This is perhaps why the themes of the country can often be found in more homes during Christmas than any other time of the year. Here are a few suggestions for simple country crafts that you can make this Christmas.<\/p>\n

Homemade Stockings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Making your own stockings is simple, inexpensive and it presents the opportunity to personalize one of the holiday staples of decorating. After all, a family’s stockings can say a lot about the style of the home and the individual that each stocking represents. Homemade country stockings differ in shape to traditional red stockings in that they look more like actual socks. Making you own stocking socks is as simple as finding and cutting out a pattern that you like and sewing two identical cut-outs of that pattern together. You can take more detailed cues from your own socks. You may want to add more detail around the heel of the sock or “patch” on different fabrics.
