For extra fun this Christmas you may want to try combining making ornaments with the fun food of the holiday. Kids will especially love being able to combine the treats of Christmas with decorating. These ideas will combine food and fun in the most creative way possible. Whether you are looking for a unique way to decorate your tree or for a fun classroom party project these ideas will work for you. These can also make great neighbor gifts that they can either eat or use for decorating. Just choose one of these projects that uses your favorite holiday treat, gather the family together and prepare yourself for lots of fun. The only problem is trying not to eat too many of your decorations! Here are some ideas for edible handmade Christmas ornaments-<\/p>\n

This project definitely requires adult supervision but the kids will love unwrapping the candy. <\/p>\n

What you will need:<\/em><\/p>\n

•Holiday cookie cutters
•Hard candies
•Sprinkles (optional)
•10-inch length of ribbon<\/p>\n

Instructions for the project: <\/u> To make the mold, wrap the bottom and sides of a cookie cutter with foil. Set on a baking sheet and coat heavily with cooking spray. Fill each of the cookie cutters with a single layer of candies. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 10 minutes, or until melted. Immediately add sprinkles, cool for 2 minutes, and then use a chopstick to poke a hole near the top for hanging.
