If you want to make beautiful angel crafts this holiday season but don’t know where to begin you may only have to look around your house to find the items you need. From light bulbs, dish towels and even pasta you can fashion a spectacular angel that will be the highlight of your holiday season. <\/p>\n
What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n Burnt out light bulb Instructions for the project:<\/strong><\/p>\n Step One-<\/strong>Wipe the light bulb down with rubbing alcohol, this will help the paint adhere to the bulb. Let dry thoroughly. Paint the entire light bulb with white acrylic paint and then let dry. Apply a second coat after checking to make sure paint is completely dry. If the finish appears streaked, you can use a large paint brush or a sponge to blot on a “stucco” look. It will not be necessary to paint the socket. Allow bulb to dry completely.<\/p>\n Step Two-<\/strong>While the bulb is drying, cut out two large flowers from the lace curtain and fashion a halo from craft wire (be sure to leave enough wire to wrap around the bulb socket).<\/p>\n Step Three-<\/strong>When the bulb is completely dry, wrap craft wire around bulb socket and manipulate wire upward so that halo is above the socket (head). Using the gold fabric strip, glue it in place all the way around the socket (almost at the end of the socket where it meets the bulb). Cover any remaining socket with Fiberfil. Prepare Fiberfil by taking small amount and rolling it between your hands to create “tubes”, glue in place. Above the gold band, glue the tiny silk flowers in place until entire socket is covered. <\/p>\n
