One of the most common types of spring crafts that incorporate the use of a pattern is the windsock. Chances are that if you took a home economics class in the last couple of decades, you have had at least an introduction to what a wind sock is and how it is made. However, even if you have never made a windsock in your life, there are dozens, if not hundreds of websites that have excellent instructions for how you can do so. A basic windsock involves very little skill beyond simply being able to sew in a straight line. There are no fancy cuts or corners to worry about. It is the perfect craft for a beginner. Once you have created your colorful wind sock, you can hang it outside and enjoy the spring breeze that much more with the satisfaction of knowing that you made something that beautifies your home.
