Flower Bookmarks

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

Adults and children alike enjoy reading. Spring time weather presents an opportunity to read while enjoying the outdoors. A simple craft that can combine a love of reading with the warmer spring weather is to make a flower bookmark. Simply gather small leaves or flower pedals from the yard. You can either dry the plants or add them to the bookmark in their current state. Choose a color of construction paper that you like and cut it own to bookmark size. Position the leaves and flowers on the paper any way you like and laminate the bookmark. If you do not have access to a laminating machine try using clear packing tape. It will give the same visual effect, but may not be as sturdy. Punch a hole in the top of the bookmark and lace a ribbon through the hole. Every time you go for that favorite book, you will be reminded of that spring day you spent making it.
