Girls everywhere will love making their own doll. They can then give them their own unique look, when dressing and decorating them.

You will need:

Instructions for the project: Carefully wrap the yarn about 25 times around the long side of the cardboard. Cut the yarn at the edge on both sides. Gently smooth the yarn bundles together, and tie tightly in the middle with a small piece of yarn. Fold in half at the tie and smooth down. The next step is to wrap a rubber band, tightly around the doll, about 1″ from the fold to make a neck. Carefully gather about 10 pieces of yarn at each the side for the arms, this will go over the cross piece of the cardboard. Rubber band about 1″ from the neck to make wrists. Trim off any excess yarn. Wrap another rubber band 1″ from the neck to make the waist. You can then split the remaining yarn in half for legs, and rubber band at the ankles. Trim all of the ends. To make the hair for your doll, wrap yarn around your four fingers about ten times. Slip off, and use a piece of yarn to tie together, and cut open the loop. Carefully glue to the head of the doll, spreading strands out to cover head. You can now trim and style, your doll’s hair. Punch two holes out of foam for eyes and glue in place. As a final step, dress your doll by wrapping it in lace and other trim, or design your own clothes using fabric scraps.
