Since every adult is different there are many sewing crafts for adults to choose from. Finding the fast and simple ones however might be a bit more challenging. Some people think that just because we’re adults we need to tackle projects that take months and sometimes years to finish, and that require much more than a set of directions to make. Who are they kidding? Just because we’re older doesn’t mean we don’t want to feel like we can accomplish things just as quickly as children do. So here are some ideas for some fast and simple sewing crafts for adults.

Embroidery and Cross Stitch. These are great sewing crafts because most of them are sold in sewing kits and walk you through the process one step at a time. If you have the time to work on them they don’t take too long to finish and the finished product looks great (if you can follow the instructions). All you need for these projects are a wood frame, thread, and some stitching needles. They show you how to do the stitches and it’s really that simple.

Patchwork quilts. These are also great sewing crafts because you can use your fabric scraps from home to make a beautiful patchwork quilt. Another popular way of making patchwork quilts is to use old memorabilia, pictures, etc. to place on your quilting squares. You can really make a piece of art when it comes to patchwork quilting and can personalize it as much as you like. You can make the quilts as big or a little as you want.

Household items. Items that you can use in your home such as curtains, pillow cases, stuffed toys for the kids room, or hooded towels are all examples of household items that you can be made quickly and are fairly easy. Some of these things also make great gifts for others.

So if you think that it’s impossible to find sewing crafts that are fast and simple you’re wrong. They’re out there you just have to keep your eyes open and be a little creative. Don’t be afraid to go into your local craft store and ask them to help; that’s what they’re there for.
