Two Little Black Birds

•Two little black birds Sitting on a wall (Hold up one finger on each hand)
•One named Peter, The other named Paul (Hold up each finger that is being referred to)
•Fly away Peter! (Place that hand behind your back)
•Fly away Paul! (Place other hand behind your back)
•Come back Peter! (Bring back the first hand you put behind your back)
•Come back Paul! (Bring back the second hand you put behind your back)

Five Little Pumpkins:

•Five little pumpkins (Hold up five fingers)
•Sitting on a gate
•The first one said,
•Oh my, it’s getting late! (Point to writs like checking the time)
•The second one said, There are witches in the air! (Point up and across, acting like you are pointing at witches flying in the sky)

•The third one said, But we don’t care! (Shake head in the way you would say no or don’t bother)
•The fourth one said, Let’s run and run and run! (Move your arms like you are running)
•The fifth one said, It’s only Halloween fun! (A big smile)
•OOOOOOOOOH, went the wind And OUT went the light (clap hands together on the word OUT)
•And the five little pumpkins (Hold up five fingers again)
•Rolled out of sight (Roll hands, one over the other)

Something to keep in mind is that there are numerous nursery rhymes out there that have hand motions. And even if the nursery rhyme doesn’t have hand motions all you need to do is to create your own, you can even change some of the older hand motions to fit your nursery rhyme if you come up with better ones.
