Jack and Jill Pail

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

To make a pail, just like the one that Jack and Jill used, all that you need is a paper cup and some pipe cleaners. Younger kids can have fun decorating the cup and adding scraps of paper or using paints. Then hole-punch two places on the rim of the cup where the pipe cleaner handle will go through. Once you have your pail, you can serve a snack to the younger kids in it while sending the older kids on an activity that involves “fetching a pail of water.” Have them participate in a race to see who can retrieve as much water as possible from a bucket that you have placed several yard away. But be careful, you do not want any one to “fall down and break their crown!”
