Not all kids crafts have to include macaroni noodles and glue. Here is a good idea for a clay bead necklace or bracelet. This is a great craft all year around since you can make the beads yourself in any color to go with any holiday or season that suits you and your kids. You first need to make your own beads from some type of polymer clay. You can make all kinds of different shapes out of the clay, poke holes through the bead with a toothpick and then bake to harden the beads according to the package directions. The closer you have the hole to the top of the bead the more even it will be on your necklace or bracelet. You don’t have to make all the beads from clay you can mix it up with some of the grown up beads or pony beads. Let the kids decide on a pattern they would like by laying it out flat on a table before stringing the beads, this also makes it easier for the kids to string.
