You are never too young to start learning about astronomy. One of the best ways to introduce the youngest learners to astronomy is through coloring. Coloring is a great beginner craft because there are no rules. Sure it is nice to draw inside of the lines, but when you are learning perfection is not required nor expected. Coloring and making coloring crafts are things that are also easily accessible. Most households have paper and something to color with. In the paragraphs that follow you will read about some ideas for coloring crafts with an astronomy theme that you should try at home.<\/p>\n

Printable pages<\/em><\/p>\n

With a simple Internet search you can find just about anything. By going online and searching for astronomy coloring pages or coloring pages with a more specific theme (i.e. coloring pages of the moon, planets, rockets, solar system, etc.) you can find free downloadable pages. With a click of the mouse you can have your printer make these fun pages to color and learn about. For older kids who may be less interested in coloring, you can download pages that offer more of a challenge. This might include having them work on a word find or cross word puzzle. There are thousands of resources online to check out. You may even want to spend some time on NASA’s website at nasa.gov. They have an entire page on their site dedicated to space crafts for kids.
