Here are some alphabet crafts that you can use as gifts.

Alphabet Refrigerator Magnets<\/em><\/strong>

*\tMaterials Needed:<\/em>
o\tCraft foam
o\tHot glue
o\tMagnet sheet, strips or dots

*\tDirections:<\/em>
o\tCut each letter of the alphabet from craft foam, choosing sizes that will work for you. To ensure that your letters are all the same size you may wish to use a pattern.
o\tTo make it easier, you may opt to buy pre-cut craft foam letters.
o\tCut small pieces from your magnet strip or sheet.
o\tUse hot glue to attach the magnet pieces to your foam letters. Obviously, the bigger the letters the larger piece of magnet you’ll need to use.
o\tDepending upon whom your letters are going to, you may wish to embellish your letters, especially if they’re larger.
Note: These magnets would also be great for spelling out a child’s name on a bulletin board, a display or even a wall hanging.

Portable Alphabet Flashcard Kit<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

*\tMaterials Needed:<\/em>
o\t13 index cards
o\tPen or marker
o\tHole puncher
o\tKey ring

*\tDirections:<\/em>
o\tCut the index cards in half. To make the letters visible, use nothing smaller than 3 x 5 index cards, cut in half.
o\tOn one side of the index card, with a marker, write the capital letter. Do all 26 letters.
o\tFlip the index cards over and write the lower case version of the capital letter.
o\tOnce you’ve finished your cards, punch a hole in the top left corner of each card. In order to ensure that you punch the hole on the same side of each card, double check that all cards are capital letter facing you or away from you.
o\tPlace all of the cards onto a key ring so they stay one spot.<\/p>\n

Alphabet Book<\/em><\/strong>

*\tMaterials Needed:<\/em>
o\tPaper
o\tStapler
o\tCrayons or markers
o\tMagazines
o\tGlue

*\tDirections:<\/em>
o\tWrite, or print from the internet, a different large letter on each page. This should give you 26 pages.
o\tOnce you have finished all 26 letters, look around for things that start with each letter. Hint: check out magazines or be mindful of items in your home.
o\tGlue the pictures or objects onto the letter pages with which they correspond. You can also label each picture so everybody knows what it is.
o\tNow allow the glue to dry thoroughly on each page.
o\tIf you are really creative, write a story for each letter.
o\tOnce the glue has dried, staple, bind or tie the pages together to create your book.
