Among the crafts that you create, one of those crafts can be a lap book that your child can use. \u00a0A lap book is a small soft book that they can place on their lap and turn pages to view the story. \u00a0On each page, have an interactive section for the child to use. \u00a0If you use the story of Noah and the Arc, make Noah a mobile piece within the story. \u00a0As the child reads the story and moves the pages, Noah can move with them and help them read the words and point out the animals they can see. \u00a0Help them through the lap book the first few times so they know how it works. \u00a0Each time you read through the story, point out something new that the child can recognize, such as the animals, colors, words and letters.<\/p>\n
Even at a young age, many children want to start reading. \u00a0Create a bookmark that your child can use to put in their bible as you read the stories to them or into other books that you read. \u00a0Make the craft about your child and their favorite story in the bible. Allow your child a chance to help with this craft. \u00a0Make them choose what story is their favorite and select the materials they want to add to their bookmark. \u00a0The creation is theirs and you are there to help and assist in different ways.<\/p>\n
