6 inch x 18 inch &#8211; cut the top at an angle so that one side is 18 inches long and the other side is 17 inches long<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tOne back &#8211; 4 \u00c2\u00bd inch x 18 inch<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tOne front &#8211; 4 \u00c2\u00bd inch x 17 inch<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tOne bottom &#8211; 4 \u00c2\u00bd inch x 6 inch<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tOne top &#8211; 7 inch x 7 inch<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tCut three 12 inch long slits in the front<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tMake the slits one inch wide, with one several inches higher than the other two<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tNail the bark or moss to the back piece to give the butterflies something to cling to<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tLay the back down with the bark side up<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tStand one of the side pieces up against it with the longer sides in back<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tHold and nail in place<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tDo the same with the other side<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tPut the front in between the two side pieces and nail in place<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tNail on the bottom and the top<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tMount the house on a post in the shade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Materials Hand saw Pine lumber Scrap pine Hammer Nails Pieces of tree bark or floral moss Instructions Cut your pine boards to the following dimensions Two sides &#8211;
