{"id":1447,"date":"2009-10-25T09:23:25","date_gmt":"2009-10-25T16:23:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.makeplaydough.com\/blog\/1447\/butterfly-flyer-kite\/"},"modified":"2009-10-25T09:23:25","modified_gmt":"2009-10-25T16:23:25","slug":"butterfly-flyer-kite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surfnetkids.com\/early\/1447\/butterfly-flyer-kite","title":{"rendered":"Butterfly Flyer Kite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>Materials<\/u><\/p>\n<p>\tSheet of standard copier paper<br \/>\tRuler<br \/>\tThread<br \/>\tStapler<br \/>\tHole punch<br \/>\tScotch tape<br \/>\tPencil <\/p>\n<p>\t<u>Instructions<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\t<\/p>\n<li>Have the kids draw a butterfly on the piece of paper and color it any way that they see fit.<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tFold the piece of paper in half<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tMark two points A and B on the folded edge of the paper<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tPoint A should be 2 \u00c2\u00bd inches from the end<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tPint B should be 3 \u00c2\u00bd inches from the end<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tFold the top corners of the page to point A. when folding the top corners do not crease the paper, just bend it back to reach the point<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tStaple them in place<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tUse the hole punch to punch a hole at Point B <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tAttach the thread to the hole<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tNow go fly the kite<\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li><\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Materials Sheet of standard copier paper Ruler Thread Stapler Hole punch Scotch tape Pencil Instructions Have the kids draw a butterfly on the piece of paper and color it any way that they see fit.
