This could also function as a great addition to a lesson about weather or a winter themed party.<\/p>\n<p><em>What you will need:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper plates<\/li>\n<li>White construction paper or cardstock<\/li>\n<li>Craft scissors<\/li>\n<li>Glue sticks<\/li>\n<li>Glitter glue<\/li>\n<li>Ribbon or yarn<\/li>\n<li>Hole punch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Instructions for the project:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Begin by having the kids cut the center out of their paper plate leaving a ring where you will attach their snowflakes. Begin cutting out snowflakes from the construction paper or cardstock. You can make your snowflakes as easy or as complicated as you want to. Simply fold the paper equally (keeping in mind the more you fold the more elaborate your snowflake will be) and then begin cutting out bits and pieces that will be reflected in the design. When the kids are satisfied with their snowflakes then it is time to attach them to the paper plate wreath. Using the glue sticks the kids can glue the snowflakes onto the wreath overlapping them like a true snowfall. When they are finished have them use the glitter glue to add some sparkle and shine to their snowflake wreath.
