{"id":1552,"date":"2010-01-28T10:15:22","date_gmt":"2010-01-28T18:15:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.makeplaydough.com\/blog\/1552\/pom-pon-headband\/"},"modified":"2010-01-28T10:15:22","modified_gmt":"2010-01-28T18:15:22","slug":"pom-pon-headband","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surfnetkids.com\/early\/1552\/pom-pon-headband","title":{"rendered":"Pom Pon Headband"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a fun activity at a party or an art activity for a classroom try one of these fun pompom crafts. <br \/>&bull; \tPompom Headband-This fun headband would also make a great party favor or classroom activity! <\/p>\n<p><em>What you will need:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\t<\/p>\n<li>Construction Paper <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>Crayons, Markers, or Paint <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>2 Pipe cleaners <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>2 Pom-poms <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>Glue <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>Stapler or Tape <\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p><u>Instructions for the project: <\/u> <br \/>the construction paper, cut out a strip of paper that is about 2 inches thick and long enough to wrap around the child&#8217;s forehead (make sure you make it an inch or two longer so you can staple the ends together.) Have the kids use crayons, markers, and\/or paint to make their headband colorful. Glue one of the pom-poms to one end of each pipe cleaner. Put the other end of each pipe cleaner up against the center of the strip of paper, about 4-6 inches apart. Staple or tape them in place. Once the antennae are attached, you can then staple or tape the ends of the strip together to snuggly fit around the child&#8217;s fore head.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: <\/strong>Before attaching the pipe cleaner to the headband, wrap them tightly around a pen or pencil to give them a fun, spiral shape.
