\tYou will need:
\tThick 8-ply knitting wool
\tPaper
\tWhite glue or glue stick
\tDog photos or pictures
\tCardboard
\tInstructions for the project: Have the child draw, or trace a large clear picture of a \tdog onto the cardboard. Remember that this is just the basic outline, so you don’t \tneed to worry, about it looking exactly like the picture. Have the child draw a \tmouth and eyes, and outline the ears and tail. Have an adult, pre-cut the yarn into \tone or two-inch strands. You can use an egg carton to separate the colors, and to \tmake selecting and handling of the yarn easier. You can then show your child \thow to glue the yarn strands onto the dog outline, creating fur-like patterns.
