Now that the temperatures have increased, you are probably looking for some fun summer crafts that you can do indoors on a hot summer day. The good news is that most of the craft projects that you can find on the Internet or in magazines can actually be done inside. What it depends on is how big of a mess that you want to create indoors. But you can also find numerous summer crafts that can be done indoors without the huge mess.<\/p>\n

Here are some ideas for crafts that you can do indoors on a hot summer day.<\/p>\n

Swirly stones<\/strong><\/p>\n

•\tMaterials<\/p>\n

\tSmooth flat rocks
\tAluminum foil
\tOven mitt
\tNewspapers
\tOld crayons<\/p>\n

•\tInstructions<\/p>\n

After you have gathered some smooth flat rocks you are going to need to clean them off and then bake them for 15 minutes on a foil lined cookie sheet at 225 degrees<\/p>\n

Using an oven mitt remove the rocks from the oven and set them on a pad of newspapers (Rocks will be very hot to the touch)<\/p>\n

Remove the wrappers from some old crayons and draw on the stones \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the heat from the rocks will melt the crayons into liquid wax. For a swirly effect hold the crayon against the rock in one place to create a puddle of color and then use the end of the crayon to swirl it around<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
