\"FairyChild\"Kids have often times expressed concern for the tooth fairy and her ability to collect and carry all of the teeth that she must collect nightly. This tooth fairy tote and pillow craft can be made and given to the tooth fairy, or your kids can use it to store their teeth in under their pillows, and the tooth fairy will have someplace to put the exchange when she visits.<\/p>\n

The tooth fairy tote will include the use of some felt, fabric glue, some fiberfill (or anything else that you can use to stuff the pillow such as cotton balls, scrap pieces of fabric, etc.) a pair of scissors and some yarn.<\/p>\n

  1. Begin by cutting 2 matching tooth shapes from white felt and a small pocket patch from purple felt. If you would like you can add wings to your tote by cutting out 2 wings from blue felt.<\/li>\n
  2. Glue the wing shapes to the outside of one of the tooth pieces.<\/li>\n
  3. Place glue on the tooth with wings along all but one of the sides and place the second tooth cutout on top of the first one. Make sure that you push down on all parts that have been glued to ensure that the fabric sticks. Allow the glued edges to dry.<\/li>\n
  4. Stuff the pillow by pushing your fluff into the opening that should still remain in one side of the tooth.<\/li>\n
  5. Glue the stuffing opening closed and apply pressure until the area until the sides adhere together.<\/li>\n
  6. Add the pocket to the outside of the tooth by using the glue. This pocket can be used to put your tooth in and the tooth fairy can use it to place your reward in. Make sure that you only stick three sides of the pocket to the pillow so that there is an opening for your treasures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: for a sturdier pillow, you can use a needle and thread to close the sides of the pillow and attach the pocket. For younger kids, parents can poke holes in the felt and kids can string through the sides with yarn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
