Pilgrim Hat Center Piece<\/strong><\/p>\n Your Pilgrim Hat Center Piece is easy to make and you will love the charisma it adds to your holiday table. <\/p>\n You will need these items for your project:<\/em><\/p>\n •1 square yard of black felt Take a square yard of black felt and tape it down to your work surface. Set the terra-cotta pot on its side at one edge of the felt and roll it from side to side tracing a line along the top and bottom edge with the red permanent marker. Then cut two 15 inch circles, one from the black poster board and the other from the leftover felt. Place the flower pot upside down in the center of the poster board circle and trace around the rim of the pot. Cut out the inner circle to create a large ring. Now do the same with the felt circle but cut an asterisk in the center leaving the last 3\/4 inch from the edge of the inner circle uncut. Next tape the felt circle to the top of the poster board ring. Set the bottom of the pot on the asterisk and slide it up to the rim of the pot to make the brim of the pilgrim hat. Use the carpet tape now attaching strips of it vertically along the outside of the pot and wrap the arc of felt around the pot by sticking it to the tape.
