Kids especially love those fuzzy little balls that can be made into so many things. With their wide variety of sizes and colors there are pompoms for every project. Best of all you can buy pompoms in bulk for all of your crafting projects and still have plenty of money left over. Kids especially love working with pompoms since they do not require extensive and complicated crafting skills. So gather your kids around for an afternoon of crafting or for some fun at a party and begin creating lifelong fun memories. Here are some pompom crafts that kids will love-
• \tPompom Christmas Wreath! Keep in mind that almost all the materials in this project are recycled things (except for the pompoms), which you can find at a craft store.<\/p>\n
You will need: <\/em><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n <\/ul>\n Instructions for the project:<\/u> Start by cutting a strip up the middle of the cardboard tube, lengthwise. Then cut several 1″ strips crosswise. Paint the entire front and back of the strips green. When the paint is completely dry, staple the ends of the strips together to make the loops. Cut a 6″ ring with a 3″ diameter opening from the cardboard box. Cut several small pieces of newspaper, about 2″ x 1 1\/2″. Carefully staple them to the outside edges of the ring. Paint both sides of the ring and the newspaper green. When the paint is completely dry, “fringe” the newspaper, cutting from the outside edge to the inside. If you want, you can also curl the edges by wrapping them around a pencil and holding for a minute. Glue the loops to the inside of the ring. Glue on the pompoms. You can make a bow for your wreath out of a brown paper bag. First, cut a strip of paper about 6″ long and 2″ wide. Paint both sides of the paper red. Staple the ends together to make a big loop. Then you can press the ends together with the other side of the loop to make an “8”. Staple it just once in the middle. Cut another small strip of the bag about 2″ long and 1″ wide. Paint it green or white. You can then wrap it around the middle of your bow and glue the ends at the back.
