These easy to make crafts, can be a fun addition to a holiday party, a school activity, or just allow you to create some fun crafting memories with your children. Yarn is an easy to use craft medium that is both affordable and easy to find (so it won&#8217;t add additional strain on your holiday budget). Whether you are looking for a fun addition to Valentines Day, or gift to give at Christmas, here are some yarn craft for the holidays-<br \/><strong>Love Bug-<\/strong>This yarn craft makes a darling Valentine&#8217;s Day decoration, or a fun way to let someone know you want them to your sweetheart!<\/p>\n<p>\t<em>You will need:<\/em>\t<\/p>\n<ul>\t<\/p>\n<li>Red or Pink Yarn <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tPipe Cleaner <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tCraft Foam or Felt <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tEmpty Egg Carton or Styrofoam Ball <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\t5&#8243; Square of Cardboard <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tTacky Glue <\/li>\n<p>\t<\/p>\n<li>\tScissors<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p>\t<u>Instructions for the project: <\/u> Start by making a pompon by wrapping yarn around \ta piece of cardboard at least 100 times. Cut a 6&#8243; piece of yarn, and carefully slide \tit under the wrapped yarn. Tie the yarn tightly into a double knot. Turn the floppy over, and cut completely through yarn on this side. You will then turn the yarn ball sideways and smooth down strands. Bend a chenille stem in half and \tcarefully push it up through the pompon. Cut out 1 section of the egg carton and \ttrim it so it sits securely upside down. Cut a large heart (about 4&#8243;) out of the craft foam. Use tacky glue to glue the egg cup upside down in the center of the heart. You can also use a Styrofoam ball if an egg carton is not available.  Completely cover the top, and some of the sides of the cup, with tacky glue. Separate the \tstrands of the pompon to fit the egg cup up inside. Gently press then pompon into place. Arrange yarn and bend chenille stems if desired. To decorate your love \tbug, cut out two hearts for eyes and one for mouth. Cut out two small circles for pupils.
