Before decorating the wood, help the tween adhere a wire across the back for hanging. Then, let them choose a paint color of choice, and paint the board, then give them vinyl letters, phrases, etc. to create wall signs that are perfect for their interests. If you do not have vinyl letters, or don&#8217;t know in advance what phrases they will want to use, you can always get stencils and let them paint the words on their wall plaques.
