The goal is to extract their power not kill them but the line between those actions is very fine. If you capture enough power, you’ll move on to the next building where ectomorphs have been detected. There are 8 places that need to be swept and cleared of ectomorphs and there are different kinds of ectomorphs, some are easy to extract from, others are hard to get never mind extract from.
