Dear Reader,
I’ve longed been intrigued by the health benefits of a standing desk, but since my desk is built into my home office, adding a free-standing desk wasn’t a viable option for me. But I recently discovered Varidesk, which sits on my existing desk, and allows me to work either standing or sitting.
With a firm two-handed grip, my keyboard, mouse, two monitors, and cup of coffee all rise (or descend) in one smooth move. I find myself alternating three or four times a day between sitting and standing. So far, the greatest benefit for me has been increased concentration. I’ve not taken any pictures of my Varidesk, but you can learn more here.
Do you work at a standing desk? What do you think? Let me know by hitting reply.
See ya on the Net,
Barbara J. Feldman

Engineering is the application of math, science, and other practical knowledge in order to invent, design, and build. It is also the “E” in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) that has become a hot educational focus in the last few years. There are more than two million engineers in the U.S., and demand is growing. What do engineers do? Is it any fun? How hard is engineering school? I found answers to all these questions and more.
