Dear Reader,
I hope all my readers in Texas have been able to keep warm, hydrated, and healthy. Hopefully this wake-up call will be the impetus for positive changes. So many problems to solve. But if we focus on education, we can help mold tomorrow’s leaders, right?
See ya on the Net,

Dr. Seuss Art
This official site features reproductions of illustrations from Geisel’s Dr. Seuss books, as well as art he did for other books, and his own enjoyment. Be sure to visit all five of the galleries listed under Art of Dr. Seuss, and to read his short biography. “Sitting in his Anglo-Saxon for Beginners class, his [Geisel’s] doodling caught the eye of a fellow American student named Helen Palmer. Helen suggested that he should become an artist instead of a professor. He took her advice and eventually, he took her hand in marriage as well.”
Dr. Seuss Went to War
Although not for the preschool set, high school students and grown-ups will find this fascinating. For two years (1941-1943), Ted Geisel was an editorial cartoonist for a New York newspaper. During that time he drew over 400 editorial cartoons, mostly about World War II. This collection is organized by year, as well as by Places, People, Issues and Battles.

Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.” ~~ Dr. Seuss ~~ (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) American writer and cartoonist.
