And it’s officially the start of the college application season for my youngest daughter. Time marches on.<\/p>\n<p>I’m continuing to find more time for reading, since I bought my Kindle. Yesterday I finished <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/038541305X?ie=UTF8&tag=surfinthenetwith&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=038541305X\">“South of Broad” by Pat Conroy<\/a>. It’s an excellent, but sometimes disturbing, read. While reading it, though, I still missed the characters from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1400030900?ie=UTF8&tag=surfinthenetwith&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1400030900\">Richard Russo’s “Bridge of Sighs.”<\/a> It’s funny how books linger in our minds.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Surfnetkids reader Brenda, I’ve just started <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0812979303?ie=UTF8&tag=surfinthenetwith&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0812979303\">“Reading Lolita in Tehran.”<\/a> Brenda posted her note about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barbarafeldman.com\/bridge_of_sighs.html\">wanting to read it here<\/a>, and she inspired me.
