London defeated Moscow, New York, Madrid and Paris, becoming the first city to have hosted the Games three times. Previous years were 1908 and 1948. The coloring pages are divided into four categories: Mascots, Symbols, Ceremonies and Sports. The 2012 mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, are animations depicting two drops of steel from a factory in Bolton. Wenlock (named after the town of Much Wenlock) is the Olympic mascot.
