She was an outspoken advocate for social justice for women and minorities both during her stint as First Lady of the United States (1933\u20141945) and afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>Biography: Eleanor Roosevelt<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.surfnetkids.com\/images\/kid-sml-star5.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"*****\"> <br \/>\n“After her husband [Franklin D.
