One of the best ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is with a great Irish themed party. Here are some fun St. Patrick’s Day party crafts you can make for your party.

You can begin by making your own St. Patrick’s themed invitations. These can be shamrock shapes along with the date and time of the event. You can also create the invitations out of pots of gold or a piece of gold. Once you have the invitations you can decide whether you want to make all the crafts yourself or have your guests make them.
Either way these following crafts will be easy to make.

To start you can either make green beaded necklaces for everyone to wear much like ones you see for Mardi gras. These can be any type of green or white beads strung together and tied in the back. Have your guests wear the beads during your party and they can then take them home.

Another fun St. Patrick’s Day party craft can be done before hand but your guests may also like making them themselves. You will need glitter, confetti, sequins, mini Ziploc bags, green tic tacs (white can also be used mixed with the green), and a small safety pin. In your mini Ziploc bag you will need to put in a few tic tacs and add glitter and confetti. Put a tag on the bags that says leprechaun treats and go for a leprechaun hunt. This is a non-edible project because of the glitter in the bag but it is still fun. Little kids may think it is great that they might be able to catch a leprechaun.

A Fun St. Patrick’s Day party crafts can be a pot of gold used as a table decoration and then your guests can take them home when the party is over. You will need 8 or more yellow pompoms for the gold, yellow gift wrapping ribbon, green tissue paper, small baby food jar or a small flower pot, glue, scissors, and a paint brush, you could also use M&M’s, skittles or any other small round candies under the yellow pompoms as the gold. Begin this craft with clean baby food jars or flower pots. Mix 4 tablespoons water with glue to make it a paint like consistency. Paint the glue onto the baby food jar or flower pot and apply the green tissue paper to the glue. When all of the baby food jar or flower pot is covered with the green tissue then paint the glue mix back over the top of the tissue paper layer. You will then want to apply a second layer of tissue paper and let it dry completely. If you are using a flower pot you can also just paint it green, baby food jars are a little harder to pant so the tissue paper may be the better idea. When either one of your green jar or pots are dry you will want to wrap a yellow ribbon around the lid. You can then glue the yellow pompoms around the edge of both the jars and pots. You can fill the jar or pot with the tiny candies and give them out as a party favor to your guests.

You can make a magical St. Patrick’s Day wand for your fun St. Patrick’s Day party craft. You will need to have a large shamrock shape cut from poster board; it needs to be on something that is somewhat sturdy so that it won’t break. Take a craft stick or a wooden dowel and glue or tape it to your shamrock. You can then decorate the dowel and the shamrock with glitter and ribbons. Go around with your wand granting magical leprechaun wishes.

There are craft kits you can buy either at craft stores, party stores, or off the internet. They will come with everything you need for fun St. Patrick’s Day party crafts. They can be somewhat expensive but they may be exactly what you want. Just remember no matter what craft you do at your party to have fun and play some Irish music.
